A Worthwhile Partnership

Hyundai and IonQ previously worked together doing battery research for electric vehicles and have expanded their partnership to include this new Hyundai 3D object detection software. This software will revolutionize automated driving by allowing Hyundai models to sense and detect road signs, obstacles, and other road signals and conditions. According to a press release from Hyundai Media Center in April of 2022, this research is well underway with over 40 different types of road signs currently able to be detected by the sensors.* As experiments continue, Hyundai and IonQ will begin testing out simulations of real-world scenarios with pedestrians and cyclists to test the true power of this technology and continue to improve the artificial intelligence. Preston Hyundai’s team of experts is super excited to experience the next-generation of driving provided by Hyundai’s 3D object detection software.
